Wavegarden Cove: Mateus Herdy’s Solo Surf Session - video

With the wave pool marketing wars gathering steam, Wavegarden have released a new video of Brazilian grommet Mateus Herdy enjoying a solo session at their Spanish R&D demo centre. This vision provides a broader overview as to the entire setup for Wavegarden Cove - although still a relatively small wave, there seems to be more wave variety on offer than previously alluded to by the narrow framing in Wavegarden's teaser clip a month ago.

Future looks bright! I want 3 different wavepools to choose from within 40min drive from home!

The wave looks fun, definitely loses power toward the end though. You can see the bottom contour/ridge from the aerial shots, you'd think they could do something with that contour and the opposite wall towards to finish in a rebound/smash section or keep it deeper out wide so that bit speeds up and faces back towards the rider towards the end.

Wheres the variety it bangs on about? Same 1 foot right hand wedge, looks fun no doubt but I wouldn't call that a variety of waves.
