Anthony Walsh // Skeleton Bay - video

Stu Nettle (stunet)
Swellnet Dispatch

Couple of questions from this footy of Anthony Walsh at Skeleton Bay:

Is this the best footage to come out of there yet?

Was that drop in deliberate? Does it represent the state of crowds and ettiquette over there now?

And, as per a question asked on Swellnet this week, has anyone ridden Skeleton Bay and not made a film of it?

ho hum

Agreed, but it wouldn't be quite so ho hum if someone was putting up for your all expense paid trip to another worldly, prime surf spot, again and again. We're just peons.

Why mate, why?

snakeman Wednesday, 12 Jul 2017 at 10:05 am new

Why?? because it's boringly repetitive, let's see some paddle ins, god forbid someone not making the drop etc and mix it up with the good stuff.

Agreed. I wasn't really fond of the edit. Too tight.

A bit more 'before and afters' would have been nice.

I've seen that on Walshy's insta. They were trying to share a barrel.

Koa Smith and Walshy.

"@koasmith and I trying to go doubles didn't quite work out for him but did for me "

Yeah but trying to share a barrel, I thought it would be easier if you took off at the same and got the sync together rather than bombing in front of your mate. Oh well plenty thousands more to try.

Easier said than done out there. Wave is fast and hollow at the same time, and with the sweep it'd be near impossible to know if you've lucked in to a slightly slower section to takeoff.

That was mind blowing, and no fidgey spinner would last that long.
