I would have liked to hear what he had to say about Shaun Thompson. I think that's who he referred to in the people you idealize who turn out to be your worst enemy. I remember reading an interview with him about 20 years ago in an English mag (he had just been sponsored by Gul Wetsuits), about how Thompson used to burn him at Pipe while he thought they were still friendly and complain to the media about how he was getting too much exposure.

CF was my hero growing up(plastered all over my wall) but think in reality a week boat trip will be intense with the dude. Still the only time I ever felt star struck was when I saw him at the Quicky pro... Totally agree that showing personalities on tour can revive the show.

Yeah, Occy mentions "sobriety" at least twice and I love how CF says, "I take whatever I want whenever I want, I just choose not to do it too often", cool. First interview I watched start to finish because this guy was so left field and jaded and honest, like a character in a Jack Kerouac novel.
