Watch: In conversation with Ryan Burch

Stu Nettle (stunet)
Swellnet Dispatch

The title of the vid makes it sound like a formal interview but the reality is Burch perched on a brick wall, beer in hand, riffing on his asymm designs.

It's only short, two minutes or so, and includes some footy of Burch riding said boards in Portugal.

His boards do go really fast.

He's about as fluid as Gerry Lopez and Asher Pacey. Seemingly effortless.

He's one of the most creative board design thinkers I've ever met. And he can ride anything. Re lack of content that is more the fault of the clip than Ryan.

Wow!
Was just thinking that 6ft CB is a thing of beauty, and then I got to 2:50. What a wave. And very nice video.

He's a hugely talented young fella. Not for everyone. I like someone that can tackle anything and bring some class and style to it. Phil Edwards/Tom Curren. Here's Ryan, 2mins, on a 12' Glider - https://vimeo.com/154632883
