Watch: On the job with Trav McCoy

Stu Nettle (stunet)
Swellnet Dispatch

His hair is long dark and wavy, he's a goofyfooter, and he posseses an uncanny connection with Kandui. The Manual of Surfing Stereotypes says Trav McCoy should be dropping his back knee a la Craig Anderson and employing other affectations, but instead the New Zealander takes a working man's approach to Kandui and other Indo left's. As they say on the work site, he gets shit done.

Here's five minutes of Trav on the job.

Nice work Trav, looks like those Jordan surfboard shapes handle Indo adventures as well as they do The Island back home.
Nice work Andy, your boards always go well, "the bigger the wave the better they go".

Trav the tuberider, kiwi styling. Talk about having a nose for a barrell. Pretty damn cool surfing right there

Nice barrel riding, good clip. Thought his board looked like it was skipping out on him a bit, may be its just me.

yeah crankin waves, bit awkward style for mine, but enjoyed it. When i was growing up in the 80's all the best surfers would chuck in a layback cover-up/barell stance here and there, never seem to see it these days, what happend?. The guys that could do it well was so pleasing to the eye.
