In October 2014, just over four years ago, Russ Bierke chased a swell to Cloudbreak and scored XXL waves. Young bloke surfed all day without incident, then the next day he come a'gutser on a four footer and broke his hoof in three places. He spent the next three months recuperating.

Russ has been selected for this season's Big Wave Tour, he's fit, and he's healthy. This was his first strike mission of the year, and though it wasn't huge CB he escaped unharmed. After all, you've gotta watch those four footers.
