I've had problems with earworms for years.
No, not the long cylindrical tube-like non-arthropod invertebrate, but the phenomena known as 'sticky music', 'stuck song syndrome', and 'Involuntary Musical Imagery'.
Or, "I can't get that bloody song out of my head".
Anyway, Jack Robinson has a special earworm gift for you this Christmas, via George Thorogood - the American musician whose 1982 album 'Bad to the Bone' was certified Gold, and the single of the same name a Top 40 Hit. My bet is that this 'high-energy boogie-blues' riff will be bouncing through your cranium until the New Year. As it is right now for me.
At least Jack's surfing ain't too shabby.

There is no doubt in anyone's mind that Jack could be a contender for a world title, especially in heavy water.
He just needs to find the mongrel inside and get a good coach to take him to the next level- ie; Ross Williams and John Florence.

Can't remember seeing a surfing clip more impressive than that. Bloke's got it ALL covered and more. Gotta be something wrong with the current system if he's not on the championship tour.

Saw George Thorogood at the Hordern circa 1982 or so. Also very good.
Very impressive is his mastery at deadly North Point. Looks like he's out at the mouth too. Apparently it gets good.
If the tour was just North Point, Cloud Break, Pipe and Chopes he’d be in the top few. Bloody good clip.
He needs the Mikey Wright treatment...just let him surf decent waves and qualify like that.
The 'QS is absolutely broken when someone like this can't cut it and numerous forgettable 2ft chop hoppers can.
But having said that, if you want to surf contests, you need to be able to surf heats, and right now, even with all the talent in the world, he can't.

Love watching this kid surf. He's always having so much fun doing it too. My favorite by far...A true Aussie surf lad.
