Watch: Friday morning Oma

Stu Nettle (stunet)
Swellnet Dispatch

This morning the lines from Oma had swung more east while the wind was swinging towards the southeast, the combination reducing the options around Coolangatta. Didn't really matter, most crew were hot for Kirra anyway, where the wind wasn't too much of a factor.

So here's two minutes or so from the morning session at Kirra. We've also got a ripper vid from yesterday afternoon's all-star session through the low tide, however with so much happening things are running out of timetable order.

We should have it for you tomorrow.

That double wave, friends or enemies?

And if they are new found enemies, Blowin, if you read this, feel for this dude, not the other guy in the photo :)

What was the guy at 1.58 thinking..? Obviously can't see down the line to what was gonna happen with that wave, but looks like a hellavu missed barrel op.

Maybe it's misleading, but it looks way less crowded than the Noosa vid

Live cam footage of Kirra shows a large swarm and at least 3 drop ins per wave,. I reckon they were pretty well behaved in the Noosa vid, heaps of bodies though.

How's the backhand snap at 1:58!

And yeah, the barrels for the rest of the clip. Mindless.
