Bit of an eye opener seeing pro videos, especially of Dane, that haven't been curated by said pro. So you get the big moves, the power, but also the bogged rails and gammy airs. It's like seeing a model without the makeup. There are some flaws.
At the same time it allows you to admire Dane's 'crash through or crash' surfing, where no section is spared, no turn is nursed.

I like. Its more honest than anything the pro's put out. Above average talent surfing average waves. Looks almost like real life.

No tedious slo-mo, and no intention to try and have everything look effortless. I imagine that removing the pressure to "complete the manoeuvres, and finish the wave" (Pottz - every heat he's commentated for the past 5 years) means that there's room for passion. The turn at 0:25'ish is something I dream about doing, and done on a wave that resembled something i'd actually surf. I loved it

I love the lines he draws and the unpredictability. Never get tired of Danes surfing. Looks like he truly enjoys.

was that move at about 1.30 the smallest air on the smallest wave ever done in the history of airs? yep that was fucking sick alright. He's still shredding even tho he's beefed up a bit. Nothing a couple of extra eighths of an inch can't fix. Above all a really entertaining surfer to watch, I like him and I like his surfing.
