whilst this was going on, i was on the end of the rockwall and i saw a baby dolphin born in the river. amazing stuff and the pod started to celebrate by pulling spinners in the swells in the river. just a sensational morning here.

Took off from Coolangatta yesterday and got a good view of the Snapper-Kirra stretch. A very deep hole up at the top of the point still, but a nice looking outside bank at Kirra if there's any swell.
Shared the plane with Wade Carmichael, Creed McTaggart and a couple of friends, headed for the west coast of SA with swags, board bags and (no doubt) a desire to escape the impending WSL circus on the Goldy.

Well they’ve got to get out of SE QLD lest anyone start to contrast their surfing performances with the other professionals.
And if they can’t create a career on surfing performance, that only leaves acting as a prop to showcase uncrowded waves in order to have something to sell to sponsors.
So yeah , it’s off to SA to sell the last few uncrowded locations.
And I say that as a fan of Creed Mctaggart. Pretty kooky that they just keep pillaging though.
Here’s a tip - rather than destroying a nice underground area in order to prolonging career death by a few months , why not discover new marketing opportunities for your sponsors?
Try doing relentless gym squats till you’ve got the male equivalent of Alana Blanchard’s arse and market yourself as a bit of candy for the gay surfer demographic ? Simple maths says that the percentage of homosexual surfers should mirror that of the general population . The growth in surfer numbers should lead to commensurate growth in the number of gay surfers.

You can see surfing like that any day at Dbah. I actually thought it was little boring. Too many roundhouse cutties and floaters in front of a flotsam of water camera guys spoiled it for me.
