Charming all American architecture seen in the homes off the back of this wave too. Well worth a visit if you’re in the area. Newport has a great vibe, despite how bland the beach looks. I’m a sometimes whomper there. A mate of mines great grandmother bought the island behind it Balboa, for a song many years ago when everyone else thought it was just a sinking sandbar. She made an unspeakable windfall selling it off piece by piece

I like seeing boogers, dropkneers and standups all giving it bash, and the party wave... seems like they've all got there surfing 'community' values in order.. a bit of anarchy, a lot of fun. and the spiritual home of skim boarding.. those dudes have epic good attitudes generally.
