After a few lean seasons, Teahupoo is having a banner year, getting peppered by swell after swell and it's giving the locals valuable water time.
On Tim Bonython's most recent trip he bailed up a few locals to get their thoughts on the ever-increasing talent level. "I honestly don't see any international guys that are better than the locals these days," says photographer Domenic Mosqueira and it's hard to argue with the footage, which begins around the five minute mark with the best wave of Matahi Drollet's life.

Most surfers will never visit, yet rarely see a beautiful Teahupoo wave break to end.
