Seth Moniz, the sprightly new prince of Hawaiian surfing, jumped onto the CT with a third place finish on the QS last year. Like John John before him, Seth's rise felt pre-ordained; not a matter of if, and not even a matter of when. After all, that would imply some uncertainty about the timing of his elevation to the top tier, when all those who saw him surf knew that he'd qualify as soon as filled out.

'Fruition' is his first clip since qualifying, all of it filmed in Hawaii this year, plus his BSR backflip to open proceedings.
