Watch: John John's Insanities session

Once again, John John's injury recovery program includes social media activity. In the months since the injury, the online hermit has come out of his shell, curating his social channels with all manner of content.

This time it's a session from 2017 revisited. 'Twas late December, JJF has just won his second World Title, and a large swell had washed sand down past Pipe creating a bank at Insanities, between Rockpile and OTW. JJF snubbed Pipe to surf the bank.

The sand only lasted a day. All this footage was shot in one session.

His clips are fast becoming favourites (not only for the shred) but because they show positioning/take off and don't just start straight from the bottom turn.

Jeez how does he get so many in one session, there were a few out too?
I’d imagine would look like a deadset closeout to most.

I think I counted 26 tubes for one session. Hands up ...has anyone else had 26 tubes or more in a single session?

Solitude Friday, 23 Aug 2019 at 10:41 pm new

I don’t think I’ve barely had 26 waves in a session
