Shane Doz was here in July for the grom comp.
I was walking my gals little doggie along the Point for a late arvo surf check and Doz was coming back down the path.
Doggie dropped a little barkers egg on the path and to my horror, before I could pick it up, Doz stepped right in it.

I would probably fanboy out a bit if I saw him, but not enough to fork out Maldives $$$$ to surf with him. Dozza and Chesser (rip) were faves as a grom, particularly Chesser, flawless style and incredible rail game...

That first right looks so fun, nice fluffy outside sections and then perfect inside bowls.
What wave is it?
Happened to be staying at the same spot in Sumbawa as Shane and his entourage earlier this year. He was very down to earth and happy to chew the fat. His son is a little shredder. The girl in that clip, Erin Brooks, is one to watch. Hasn’t been surfing long but she was ripping.
Great handful of waves there. They did well not to disclose too much in terms of locations - many of them empty-ish a lot of the time. Seek and you shall find
Mann....made me so nostalgic! Remember when a 3 foot wave was overhead? Reminds me of that classic shot of a pint sized Jason Buttonshaw, locked inside a lime green DBah cavern......I dreamt of that for years!
