Watch: Noa Deane // RU.BU 994

Stu Nettle (stunet)
Swellnet Dispatch

Are you, like me, a little tired of jangly pop bands, all those clean tones with treble-heavy pedals and guitars strapped high upon their dungarees?

Then Noa Deane's latest clip will offer some solace. Called 'RU.BU 944' - nup, no idea - it follows last year's 'Head Noise' in both optics and audio. Noa channelling Dane above the lip and out on the face, even around the midriff, and an inspired soundtrack brings distortion to the fore.

Tap the volume key, press play.

'Something I Learned Today' - Husker Du. One of the all time great album openers.

It's contextual. Lot wrapped up in those notes. Years since it was released so dunno what it'd be like to hear it first time 'round, different place, different time.

Christian would be proud, the airs, the tubes, the music, the fashion in how its presented, i dont think it's a bad thing though, it works, much better than most vids these days.

Maniac! Not that he wants it, but you’d think he would smash it on wsl -
I wonder how consistent he is and how he goes in comps etc

Very worthwhile, love to see a rail buried with such speed and precision!

Love his surfing.

And yes, those wedges were insane.

Just watched this for the who knows what time. Just gets better with age.

Few surfers I'd rather watch.
