Watch: Chippa Wilson // Left Brain, Right Brain

Stu Nettle (stunet)
Swellnet Dispatch

Don't let the finery fool you, the extended intro, the lingering shot on a bonzer, and the slow music, Chippa ain't quite turned over a new leaf just yet. The air game is still more skate than surf - he spins and tweaks off every lip - yet every punk evolves and gets bored with three chords, and you can see that slipping in to this extended play from Epokhe.

I'd have rather seen Left Wave, Right Wave.

Regardless, if I'm going to watch airs CW edits are as good as they get. Never disappoints.

Hard to even fathom. Such incredible skills.

And well balanced with dreamy tube threadery. Colour treatment and cinematography on point as always with KN productions.

Great clip, music and cinematography to match. Chippa is next level in the speed combined with skills department.

Not 100% sure it was him, but I remember seeing him (or someone very much like him) surf GLand years ago and being blown away by his tube awareness and overall heavy water ability when it got solid.
I quite like the oxymoron of his interest in all things vintage (cars/bikes etc.) and being at the absolute forefront of modern surfing innovation.

He makes those airs easy. As we well know they aren't.
