I used to like Jed Smith till I read a bit by him which lambasted the geriatric Aussie monoculture of a certain NSW town as inhabited by dumb cunts cause they hadn’t given over their much-loved town to the transient backpacker pests who provide the same “ unique diversity “ to be found reproduced identically at Kho Samui , Borrocai , Canggu , Kuta Lombok, Ubud , Byron Bay etc etc
He also wrote some garbage about how he’s got more respect for the German backpackers plaguing Indo than the salty old Aussies who also plague the joint. Something about the irrepressible adventure spirit of the Euro learner kook despite the fact that there has literally never been a more spoon fed , self -obsessed , culturally ignorant surfer to have walked the Earth.
Should I relinquish this grudge and give him another try or what ?

However anyone listen to the sunny coast one? What a load of dribble.
Yeah, that was the only one in all the ones I've listened to where I turned it off, probably not even midway thru. To think all that vicious bullshit that Kong was spewing wasnt backed up by any of the crew that he said would, was cringeworthy to say the least...couldnt cop him one bit
The live podcasts are pretty much a bunch of drunks pissing in each others ears about how good they were back in the day with Jed and Vaughan trying maintain some sort of control, however the studio recorded poddies are great and with Bainy on some of the episodes they are hilarious and insightful at the same time.....Lipped is another one worth a listen in my opinion

Hit n Miss I reckon and can be over the top at times. Don’t know about Jed Smith but Vaughn and his bro Ron are classic guys... I once shoved 30 green grapes into Ron Dogs mouth at once.... it shut him up for 30 seconds
