WSL Suspends Billabong Pipe Masters Due To Positive Covid-19

Ben Matson (thermalben)
Swellnet Dispatch

The WSL has decided to suspend the Billabong Pipe Masters presented by Hydro Flask competition as a result of positive COVID-19 tests within the WSL staff, including WSL CEO Erik Logan.

The WSL is committed to prioritizing the safety of the athletes, staff and surrounding community above all else, and is working closely and transparently with the Hawaii State Department of Health to determine the path forward.

As part of the league's COVID Safety Plan, anyone who has returned a confirmed positive test is self-isolating until they are cleared, and contact tracing protocols have been fully implemented. The WSL does not believe that any athletes have been exposed and will continue to execute the safety protocols.

Sacking offence. He failed to capitalise on the break from mainstream sport to do something innovative 6 months ago , and now HE brings the plague to the first event. Time to go elo. No vision, no leadership, just trips to the ranch getting “barrelled” for him and his mates.

Not at all surprising

Ben Harding Saturday, 12 Dec 2020 at 01:58 pm new

Well Freeride, your paragraph on the Covid protocols was well placed. It seemed like it was all for the cameras after all. What a shit show and totally amateur from the WSL. Unbelievable really. Feel for crew who have payed top dollar getting there. Can't see this getting back up anytime soon or if at all.

Blowin Saturday, 12 Dec 2020 at 02:51 pm new

Does this mean that Mikey Wright is World Champ for 2020 of the tour can’t finish.

Achieved it with a wildcard too. No asterisk needed !

This should be right up Ding's Alley......

thermalben Saturday, 12 Dec 2020 at 02:03 pm new

Boom tish.

thermalben Saturday, 12 Dec 2020 at 02:02 pm new

I assume this means the WSL won't be able to relocate the Maui event either.

Ben Harding Saturday, 12 Dec 2020 at 02:13 pm new

Gee, this whole time they've been spruiking how they want to be "keeping the community safe", when they themselves and not the surfers have caught the bug, including the top dog. Rather ironic and hard to see any other regional governments granting anymore approval as their protocols aren't worth the paper they're written on. You're right, where to from here not only for this leg, but for all the remaining.

Blowin Saturday, 12 Dec 2020 at 02:07 pm new

If anyone except the co-waterperson of the year was running the show I’d be a bit concerned about their commitment to surfing round about now.

thermalben Saturday, 12 Dec 2020 at 02:25 pm new

Positive. Erm, I mean affirmative, on the positive.

suchas Saturday, 12 Dec 2020 at 02:11 pm new

If they can't control this on a tiny island in a big ocean, how are they gonna manage it on the rest of the tour? Who's gonna let them in??Without disrespecting the Maui incident, their marquee event has turned into a shitshow. Can ELO still spin from a hospital bed?

thermalben Saturday, 12 Dec 2020 at 02:28 pm new

FWIW, every single WSL press release over the last few weeks has contained the following paragraph:

"The WSL has worked with medical experts and state and county officials to help ensure the Pipe Masters and Maui Pro is safe for athletes, staff, and the community. To help prevent large gatherings, the competition is being staged as a non-spectator film production. In addition, the WSL requires multiple COVID-19 tests for athletes and staff, daily temperature checks, physical distancing measures, minimal personnel on-site, and frequent disinfecting of common surfaces. These standards were developed using guidelines from the World Health Organization (WHO) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and are in place for the entire film industry in Hawaii."

Yago Dora was quarantined for testing positive on the way over. He managed to get an early exemption after testing negative 10 days later, and just hit the north shore 12 hours before his heat.
His insty post explaining all this has disappeared..

"famous" people catch it because for them nothing has changed, they are still flying around the world coming into contact with multiple potential sources but its all good because they are famous and we should be happy for them that they are allowed to be free

vicco11 Saturday, 12 Dec 2020 at 06:49 pm new

Update from Stab

We've come to learn that this "suspension" might not be as drastic as it first appeared.

Here's the deal: In order to align with covid precautions, the WSL had to get a filming permit rather than an event permit to run the Pipe Masters, which is why they're able to keep all bystanders off the beach (as it's essentially their "film set").

The thing with filming permits, though, is that if any of the crew contract covid, the entire production needs to shut down immediately to comply with Hawaii state laws. From what we understand, there is a single crew member (who is not a WSL employee) that tested positive for coronavirus, plus, amazingly, Erik Logan, who is obviously the CEO.

Essentially, everyone else that's part of the production now needs to isolate and be re-tested. If everyone tests negative, it's likely they'll be able to get the event up and running again within the original event window. If not, the WSL is considering the possibility of an extension.

The main point is that, while unfortunate, this news does not spell the end of the WSL season, or even the Pipe Masters. This protocol was very well understood before the event started, and the WSL was fully prepared to handle such a situation.

For now, all we can do is wait and hope that no other WSL production members, staffers, or surfers have tested positive.

Surfalot67 Sunday, 13 Dec 2020 at 09:13 am new

Interesting take Vicco. Issue now will be that the WSL insurance underwriters will run a mile. Precisely why the film industry in QLD is flat out right now with US production, they can’t get insurance to shoot at home. This plus old mate dying (RIP) from a shark attack as he had to paddle through deep water to the line up as they had the area locked off even outside competition hours will potentially be the end for the Wozzle.

Bob Sacamano Saturday, 12 Dec 2020 at 06:50 pm new

The irony is not lost on me. The fact that elo Corp and co got the plague and sunk their own ship is just plain fucking hilarious. Well done you twats. I actually enjoyed that one day of pipe.

Shark incidents, covid to WSL boss what more could go wrong. Maybe they should have come to oz with less chance of getting virus. RIP to our fellow surfer mate. Very sad.

Distracted Saturday, 12 Dec 2020 at 08:58 pm new

That’s crazy. Looks like the surf doesn’t pick up until Sunday (Hawaii time).... can’t they just call a couple lay days, run a stack of tests and then game on?
There are stacks of Covid cases in Hawaii anyway (18,000 on Worldometer) does it actually matter if a couple staff have it? What was the Wsl going to do when they ran comps in mainland USA, can’t keep the whole comp in a bubble there.

tsunalu Saturday, 12 Dec 2020 at 08:59 pm new

Not a WSL fan... but a bit of perspective wouldn't go astray here gentlemen. Moto GP had Rossi go into ISO on the back of a successful modified sced. Likewise F1 had Lewis test positive.

velocityjohnno Sunday, 13 Dec 2020 at 11:41 am new

Like you said about the film industry and insurance above, if a country is free of the virus then it's a massive opportunity to actually get work done the old way, ie uninterrupted and insured. Looking forward to seeing Ryan Reynolds in a gore/comedy flick about a kangaroo-zombie outbreak.

They were using local travel bubbles (comp at Cabarita) before - I don't see why not use this method again. 2021 Champions in regions where comps can be safely put on.

billie Sunday, 13 Dec 2020 at 07:11 pm new

Bit harsh perhaps? Bit racist perhaps? Do you not like Seppos (Kelly Slater, Shane Dorian) or Brazzos (Filipe, Italo)? I think they're amazing

Surfalot67 Monday, 14 Dec 2020 at 08:11 am new

Don't play the racist card Billie FFS, its a pay-out like you would your mates if you have any with all your virtue signaling. Yes amazing, but not wanted here right now. Keep our international borders well closed for now, Wozzle can suffer in their jocks.

billie Monday, 14 Dec 2020 at 12:53 pm new

I'm not virtue signalling, so I will ask you not to accuse me of doing so. As a Greek Australian I am hyper aware of racism and that is my prerogative. You will notice I didn't accuse you of racism but suggested that it was a 'bit racist perhaps". Virtue signalling is not using non-violent communication to suggest that a comment may be racist. Virtue signalling is pointing out good deeds done by self to show others how virtuous one is.

Basically, your comment felt derogatory from here and it didn't feel nice to me.

bluediamond Sunday, 13 Dec 2020 at 12:30 am new

Well, while the WSL works out what to do next, and our Pipe Masters froth is all dressed up with nowhere to go...whilst half the East coast is getting battered, and the West is getting sand/salt and fly blasted,...may as well dive into the archives.

The infamous '98 masters, one of the biggest and cleanest first reef comps in it's history (i still rate '91 in my time as the best). So much to digest in this little half hour vid.
Slater-Alpha, Machado-savant, (their quarter final is a cracker!) Bruce-Mercurial, Dorian-Backdorian master, Williams-smooth, Willsy-heartbreaking, Campbo-same, A.I- psychotic!, Munga-charging, the Snake....the underdog..the Aussie mongrel...the rabbit out of the hat. You can feel the tension. Unbelievable and definitely worth reliving.
It's funny to watch something that was pre webcasts, no Turpel!!...no coverage...i remember the first you'd see of Pipe was normally on the ABC news, you'd get a smattering of footage and normally Slater being crowned champ at years end. I think it was Tracks that did the big wrap on it, when it was still newspaper but in colour. They might even have had Willsy's fateful bottom turn on the cover. We're definitely pretty spoilt these days. Anyway, chuck it on and get your froth back on. Yew!

Vic Local Sunday, 13 Dec 2020 at 08:09 am new

Bit harsh on Turpel. If you can get past the voice, he's actually not a bad commentator, and Joey is a pretty decent bloke to surf with.
Now if we can just get rid of Martin Potter and Strider and replace him with an all Victorian commentary team, that would be epic. Imaging Lipped podcaster James Miles doing special comments, and his partner in crime, Cahill Bell-Warren doing the in water commentary. I can't get enough of Cahill's short - long - short short - long turn breakdowns interspersed with local footy and cricket result, while Jim tries to steer CB-W back to surfing. It's just what the WSL needs.
If the WSL had any clue, they'd vaccinate those two blokes and get them on a plane to Covid Central ASAP.

shoredump Sunday, 13 Dec 2020 at 08:47 am new

But nah, he seems like a nice enough bloke. I have to be honest though, the moment i heard his first word spilt onto the webcast, i did realise how much i hadn't missed him. But i'll try harder for ya!
Yeah definitely be good to get Warren on the webcast. Woz for the wozzle.
By the way, seems the Hawaiian community aren't too happy with the way things have been handled.

Vic Local Sunday, 13 Dec 2020 at 11:26 am new

Even with the vaccine, containing Covid in the USA is impossible given how many anti-vaxxer nutters there are in America. I've seen polls saying half the population won't take it.
This is what happens when you have a population that does its resurch on Youtube and elects Donald J Trump because the J stands for Jenius.

yeah I wonder if their political affiliation will have an influence on them being "anti-vaxxers". Since most democrats support covid precaution measures (eg. wearing masks, mail-in ballots, social distancing) versus the republicans being not so endorsing... However, trump is taking full credit for the vaccinations and could perhaps influence republicans to get vaccinated. IDK what will predict anti-vaxxers, but this entire debacle will be studied for many years to come...

Blowin Sunday, 13 Dec 2020 at 12:17 pm new

The irony being that the only Aussies they would deem appropriate of being in charge have themselves been so indoctrinated into the Seppo mindset that it would have zero effect on the outcome.

That’s known as the PT Effect in the trade.

Ziff needs to push someone like Snake Patterson into the driver’s seat if they ever want to move the WSL away from the uber- Corp Septic shit show it’s becoming. As long as he signs a clause preventing the jewels in the WA crown , G Land , Mysto breaks etc from somehow appearing on the CT calendar it’d be a great move.

Whingers (blowin) aside, the wsl puts on a pretty good show. Last year was fantastic....lots of drama, great events, some great finals. They may not be perfect but I love watching their events. I would like a bit of a mix up in the commentary team (Egan) but hey, I can live with it as it is. Blowin....just don’t watch it if it’s so bad.

That’s a train wreck awaiting govt approval. Quarantine is a fed govt responsibility but Scumo will make Dan Andrews make the decision on that, and then cry no matter what it is.

Velocityjohnno...Hawaii / NZ (etc) are seen as Airbridges or Covid Door Mats.
Because of small Covid pop with large Air Ports, they're ideal for Big Mobs to Bully.
Oct UA-Hawaii, SFC, Costa Rica, Caribbean were launched as one (re: all outbreaks).

Airlines & Events run in house fake negative tests to spread & hide virus.
They know no other existence...just a game of numbers for them.
Just as Govt's & Bet Mobs run 20% false positives to take out players / teams & votes.
Again...all are crooks & need to own & control everything & everyone.
It's real alright & been happening since mid year + here & now + central to recovery.

Yeah! There's a more grubby side to fake Hawaiian Quarantine increase alright..
They don't show up on stats as they're not Positives, ironically they're Negatives.
Outcast freaks waving honest Covid Tests...must not undermine the Hawaiian scam.

All must strictly use Airline partner's $500 negative rorts or you get bumped.
Approved means "Trusted Lab Partners" (not) Pass' approved health professionals.
https://hawaiicovid19.com/travel-partners/
GP results have gotta cough up for Airline rort Quarantine for non rort compliance.
Yep! Locked up at premium rates for being the only proven Covid Free travellers.
https://www.khon2.com/coronavirus/travelers-with-negative-covid-results…
"Trusted partners" have since changed...gotta keep in the loop or they'll sting ya!
You can see how Quarantine is not a blow out in cases but a non compliance penalty.
Honest folk being fleeced by Airline / Govt is what it is! (2020 Tourism Style).

C'mon! Just a step up from Hot Hotels...we all heard the guy!

This being a prototype for Qantas inhouse test / Vax Scheme.
Yer GP vax stamp is voided ...must be a $500 Qantas / Partnered Fake Test or no Fly.
[Choose Now] : $500 Fake Qantvax - $500 Fake Qantest- $3,000 Hot Qantel
Wait! Ya gotta download Qantapp & keep buying what it says or NO fly. (Got it Mate!)
Pretty sure more than half already voted that whatever it is, it's likely to be Essential.

velocityjohnno Sunday, 13 Dec 2020 at 03:51 pm new

That will just hurt the Hawaiian community, as the false negatives will go and infect their hotel workers, SUP instructors, cafe staff - who then go an infect their rellies, all while Hawaiian health are trying to swat it (with more accurate tests). 15,000 positive incoming travelers in that short time frame?!

If they are a gateway, the incoming infection will end up showing up in NZ quarantine or Oz quarantine in our neck of the woods.

wingnut2443 Sunday, 13 Dec 2020 at 05:35 pm new

From the post above by vicco11:

"In order to align with covid precautions, the WSL had to get a filming permit rather than an event permit to run the Pipe Masters, which is why they're able to keep all bystanders off the beach (as it's essentially their "film set")."

So, what might his mean for Australia?

If it's a 'film set' and then more control of an area (think filming locations here in Oz, like when they filmed and closed off Hastings Point Headland for the Johnny Depp Pirates thingy) will this lead to the whole beach area's around say Snapper, Bells, etc being 'off limits' for the general public over the entire 'usage period' (aka waiting period)?

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

What's the 'application' and 'public consultation' process for filming applications in Oz? I guess each state is different? Do we as recreational surfers have any say? Will the general public be able to use 'their' beach during the 'event windows'?

Surfalot67 Monday, 14 Dec 2020 at 08:27 am new

Wingnut, the City of Gold Coast already give them an "exclusive use permit" for Snapper. That extends from Marine Parade to 1 km east of the contest site in what's known as the "bathing reserve". If they wanted to close off the whole area, they already have the power to do just that. They do not have to apply for a filming permit here, that was just a work-around for Hawaii. The major events team at COGC permit activities such as this, not the film unit. BTW, the locals (real locals, not a couple of whinging dog walkers from Murbah) loved the way Pirates conducted themselves as Hasting's Point, and all feel the area was left in better condition than it was before the crew arrived. Public are advised weeks in advance by letter drop, and can voice there concerns direct to council.

wingnut2443 Monday, 14 Dec 2020 at 03:26 pm new

@Surfalot67 ... the FACT is that there was NO 'letter box drop' to inform the locals, before the filming event or even once approved. I own property in the area received NOTHING, and none of my neighbours did either. It was only social media skuttle butt after it was a go and being set up that anyone was informed. Truth. Fact.

Also, the locals, as in regular surf users, fishermen and families were ALL not happy about the filming and how it was all 'lock up'. It was for the enter period with big fences down to water line etc. Local businesses, including the shop at Hastings Point suffered because locals were not there, visitors were unable to park near the shop and the entire film site had onsite catering. So again, no local financial benefit.

Scaffolding, road closure and other support were all from out of the area. No financial benefit to the local economy. But a HUGE impact to locals, ratepayers, and regular holiday makers / day tripping tourists / families etc ... Families couldn't even use the park near the creak because of parking restrictions and chaos from the headland carpark closure.

Surfalot67 Monday, 14 Dec 2020 at 04:39 pm new

Wingnut, I don't know you personally but mate that is just utter bullshit, Aquaman spent $40k on restoration after that shoot, new tracks and bollards and left the area WAY better than prior to their arrival. This was not a fucking student film, it was run by long term industry professionals. They door knocked and letter dropped hundreds of homes, just because you didn't get one doesn't mean it didn't happen FFS. They funded and arranged community meetings beforehand, it was on the news, and was debated at council publicly. The truth is a certain community member was away during this process and kicked off big time that he wasn't involved as a previous gig there had paid him off. He was so pissed he missed out on payola this time he made it hell for the production, spreading bullshit rumors...the real locals know the truth.

wingnut2443 Monday, 14 Dec 2020 at 03:28 pm new

This has me intrigued:

" ... the City of Gold Coast already give them an "exclusive use permit" for Snapper. That extends from Marine Parade to 1 km east of the contest site in what's known as the "bathing reserve". If they wanted to close off the whole area, they already have the power to do just that. "

Can anyone shed more light, or you @Surfalot ...

How can a local government control past maritime high tide line?

Me thinks there is some bullshit in the 'permit' and what really can be done.

Stu, Ben, TBB, Swellnet crew ... whats the TRUTH?

Does anyone really know?

truebluebasher Monday, 14 Dec 2020 at 02:59 am new

Crew are right on the film crews... have rights to extend their lease..
As with Hastings...Can stay half a year or more + acquire more real estate.
They can also break every Safety Law & some more...all at once if they like.
Really is a Pollie's make believe world that are entitled to shit all over our world.

tbb watched Spit cam N/W come on then 30mins later rocked up in boardies.
Beach Flags were crackin' with a crystal clear offshore. Yum! Yum! All for tbb.

Walking closer thinking WTF is this Surf Comp shit doing in the Flags & only in Flags.
Real Beach Flags Film set had Boats 4 Jet Skis / 8 surfers / 2 mega drones / Dogs.
Clearly not safe & no entry was permitted near the event / set. (No signs?)

Phone up Council & said Film Set broke every bylaw in & around Beach Flags + ban.
Council chick said sure...tbb reeled off Distances for each & said yep!
Fed' Drone / State' Boats + JetSkis / Council' Surfers + Dogs (All laws broken at once!)
Council Chick says tough...go swim elsewhere.
Cheeky chick asked if tbb was making a complaint...Yes! "Well bad luck as you can't!"

She even said that they were filming a TV show don't you know + didn't need signs!

Saw the "Surf Film Production" Laughed as TV Lifeguard tells Jet Ski to move on!
That was tbb's line....they stole that off the local basher.

The reason for Comp in Flags is that actors couldn't surf so needed OHS VIP Flags.

Council also locks out beach bar throughfare if you got not Shirt & thongs + groms.
Tried telling Bouncer tbb & grom just wanna go for a Surf! "No Mate...not here!"
Here being the only beach steps & closest entry to Beach Flags...durr!
Ambos had to climb rocks to relay spinal patient because of Beach Bar blocked steps.
Sound Checks drowned out Shark Alarm...tbb was out the back alone...as bait.
Next day...Phone up Council...Yeah! I know...NO complaints..."Gee! You learn fast!"
The Mayor on TV : " We've had no complaints about the Pop Up Beach Bar Trial."
Double thumbs up for more beach bars...everyone cool with that?

Beaches are now closed to basherz about 2 months / year by BOM [Hazard Card].
2025 Town's Dawn > Dusk Drone Squadron is likely to spot a 2.5m Shark each day.
Then whole shire's "Beach & Surf" is closed 365 days /yr...Careful what ya wish for!
Seachange Real estate will gladly step in & sponsor Private Beach Drone security.
Just saying...surf as much as you can while you still can...we are losing it!

Surfalot67 Monday, 14 Dec 2020 at 08:42 am new

I guess you never watch films or TV? Or is it okay that the hundreds of local crew are employed making productions, so long as its not in your back yard? So inconvenient for TBB that you couldn't access one section of one beach for one day right? Diddums. As for your completely ignorant rantings on the production's safety guidelines and permits, you are so far off your meds its hilarious. Why don't you check in with Ryan Hippo, the marine coordinator on that gig before you mouth off!

mikehunt207 Monday, 14 Dec 2020 at 11:00 am new

Wow! Ryan Hipwood involved, obviously that makes it all ok then Surfalot67, nothing like a fanboy thinking pro surfers (ex?) can do no wrong, at least it takes Hippo away from filming himself surfing other peoples surf spots for a while.
TBB is usually pretty onto it with his facts and seeing the rules bend for events and development in our neck of the woods I have no doubt the "white shoe brigade" running the gold coast council would do anything for a buck regardless of how it effects the local community (just look at the place).

Surfalot67 Monday, 14 Dec 2020 at 11:55 am new

Two different conversations here MH, development and filming are in no way related, once a film wraps all that's left are memories and money. I agree he's usually accurate (although I'm not sure anyone bothers to fact check all his rants) but TBB is way off reservation and lying here. Claims he checked The Spit cam and turned up to see the production's "surf comp" set. Lie. It was at Nobbies. Claim dogs on set - lie, no scripted animals in scene. Claim no signs. Lie, "caution filming" signs at public access points. Claims laws broken. Lol, another lie. CASA approvals for Drone in place , no state authority approvals for boat/ski's required as per GCWA and Maritime Safety Qld as they were in the COGC bathing reserve, all COGC approvals were met. Claims set was in flagged area. No, another lie. It was 100m south of flagged area. BTW, the actual surfing sequence's were shot at Straddie, on a completely different day. Facts mate - they're important. As for the fan boy comment - I was going to be nice, but go fuck yourself. The only fan boy here is you licking TBB's saggy ball sack.

batfink Monday, 14 Dec 2020 at 11:49 am new

Hawaii was in reasonable shape, Covid-wise, in that it was the only US state that wasn’t up shit creek.

This has the potential to be not good at all. Hoping it’s just the one guy and he hasn’t been on a pub/cafe/restaurant crawl with all his mates.

Always hard to tell though I terms of knowing how they are dealing with it locally. Is there a strong culture of getting tested, as there was here. Are the numbers good? Don’t know, but do know someone who has been there for months and she thinks it was pretty much under wraps, being well handled. A plague of surfers could change all that quite quickly.

bluediamond Monday, 14 Dec 2020 at 12:10 pm new

WSL have made one measly one paragraph statement 3 days ago re. both comps suspended. How come no updates since? When the AFL had a player test positive they had updates on the hour, every day, keeping everyone in the loop and mapping out potential outcomes/plans and executing them. The womens comp has kinda just vanished, the mens comp pretending not to be there while the waves are pumping right in front of the comp site right this moment. And complete radio silence for the fans/spectators/competitors? What a shit show.

eel Monday, 14 Dec 2020 at 12:48 pm new

It is embarrassing how badly the WSL has responded to Covid. The last professional sport in the world to get going (but probably one of the easiest to socially distance) and then the boss of the organisation fucks it up at the very first contest with pretty much fuck all communication to fans.

Don't know why tbb bothers... tbb's Tall story backed up by Vid & ...action [ Take 2 ].
(Now watch as shoreline changes from Miami Headland / Spit - Jetty / high rises)

[0 :21] The Spit ( see 1 of tbb's boats + Surfers Paradidse High Rises )
[0:36] Drone shot 4 surfers or actors with the Jetski as tbb said
(Naturally the 2nd set of 4 actors are hidden + 2nd Film Ski / Boat are filming
[0:48] Ironwoman CAT sprints from Miami to The Spit in 7 secs [0:55]
[1:00] Surrounded by High Rises to the West (Southport) & South (Surfers Paradise)
[1:23] see : Cat gets rudely dropped in at [ Sand Pumping Jetty ] Right Hander.

Reef Break filmed & shut down heaps of local Beaches....
Plane dive bombing at Fingal...not gonna allow beach goers there.
Byron (Gun on Beach Scene)

Reef Break was filmed thru (2 States / 4 - 5 shires )
H'land / Byron / Fingal / D Bah / Currumbin / Miami / SP / Spit / Straddie + more.

tbb does not expect an apology but reckons the crew are entitled to one.
Crew are smart enough to know when tbb is having a crack...
None here are gonna troll their local beaches to be hounded outta yer own lineup.

Series shut down 100kms / beaches / Rivers/ NP for many 1000's.
Would've thought that was obvious!
A few 1,000 more Goldie Drug Pimp TV Shows won't hurt our Drug Pimp rep!

Here's those Laws we all know so well...
1)Federal Casa : Drones are Banned at The Spit Seadrome
(re: 1930's -2020 Seadrome > Scenic / charter Flights & Rescue / Choppers)
https://www.facebook.com/7NEWSGoldCoast/videos/drone-interrupts-rescue-…
https://www.goldcoastbulletin.com.au/news/gold-coast/a-gold-coast-man-w…

2) Qld Govt - Jet Skis / Boats are not permitted within 400m of Beach Flags
3) GCCC - Dogs must be kept 200m from Beach Flags
4) GCCC- Surfboards cannot be used within 60m of Beach Flags...

Again the crew debate these laws all the time, so never had reason to doubt tbb.
Salute the crew's backup...they're too clever to fall for made up bullshit...honestly!
tbb is not outing or naming just cut the bullshit & lose the troll & we can all move on!

What an odd critter you must be. First you post you like it, now its another Goldie Drug Pimp show in your words. And you call me a troll? Fuck that's weird, you seem to be here all the time writing a novel on every thread with half a dozen meaningless links. As for your comments on laws, what are you, a retired parking copper? None of the quoted laws apply or were transgressed. You think a production of that scale in public places isn't right under the microscope? Did you check with COGC Lifeguard Services or CASA or any other body re compliance? Thought not. They are watched every single day by COGC officers for compliance, not to mention no professional production (which this was) would potentially put the public or themselves at risk. They would have no insurance and would be royally screwed if anything went wrong. ABCI/Disney have a huge focus on safety and are extremely risk-averse, with risk assessments and safety plans a mile long. I appreciate your need for attention with your constant posts which can be mildly entertaining, but you're way outta your lane this time. The difficulty with calling out everyone else all the time TBB is that you need to make sure you're right...cheers.
