Been a busy time in the editing bays with a bunch of new surf films all about to tour. Whatever corner of the surf world you lurk, there's a new release to elicit thrills.

This weekend, James Kates' and Noa Deane's film 'Mash' has three straight dates:

• Friday 10th November, The Monarch Hotel, Moruya.
• Sat 11th November, Arcadia Cinemas, Ulladulla
• Sunday 12th November, The Servo, Port Kembla.

Then another filmer/surfer pairing starts its tour: Dave Fox and Harry Bryant with 'Motel Hell' - "an exercise in absurdity" is how Big Dav describes it:

• Friday 17th Novermber, Anita's Theatre, Thirroul
• Sunday 19th November, Cinema Nova, Lygon Street, Carlton
• Tuesday 21st November, The Exchange Hotel, Hamilton

Lastly, is 'Kin', a short film from the Patagonia mob. Shot on Lord Howe Island, 'Kin' illustrates what can be gained through marine protection. In addition, other films including ‘In the Family of Things’ (introduced by filmmaker Nathan Oldfield), and Ramón Navaro’s ‘Corazón Salado’ will also be playing.
