Kelly To Be A Dad, Again
Two days after posing for a family photo with his dog, Kelly Slater has announced he'll become a father for the second time.
The 'announcement' was made via a black and white Instagram video, no words just a lone heart emoji, of Kelly and partner Kalani Miller wearing swimming garments. He boardshorts, she bikini, and a baby bump of second-trimester girth.
When it arrives, it'll be Slater's second child. His first-born child, daughter Taylor, arrived in 1996 following a short-lived union between the then three-time world champ and Tamara Mitchell.

Having 6 kids at almost 47 years old, the eldest 18 and two identical twin boys being 5, a 16 year old daughter, 13 year old son and a 7yr old son about to turn 8. I personally can not imagine 52 yr old Kelly Slater having any trouble dealing with an adult daughter and a new born baby. Sounds like a dream to me.

You were a decade younger than Kelly when you last had a newborn (and all the sleep issues that come with it), but that is generally a solid effort and if you're still ever getting a wave then you're doing very well!

Kelly applied for Paternity leave and the WSL have granted him 9 months of to (cough cough) look after his new one and granted him a 2025/25 wildcard. Meanwhile is into the charts planning where he will ‘look after’ said child.
Honestly happy for them, i know Kelly has a daughter but from interviews etc it always seemed like they weren't close and he wasn't perhaps the best father, now he is pretty much done as a pro surfer hopefully he can put his time, energy, focus on being a good father and enjoy family life and im sure still travel with wife and kid around the world surfing.
Hoping it's a boy and money on them either calling him Kelly Jr or Andy probably a Hawaiian name in their too.
