Southern Tasmania Forecast (issued Friday 18th April)
Best Days: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday morning, Wednesday morning
Recap
Tiny clean surf to 1-1.5ft was seen yesterday, while today it was event smaller, with ideal 1ft peelers for beginners.
This weekend (Apr 19 - 21)
There's been no real change to tomorrow's long-range W/SW groundswell and average winds, with Clifton due to build to 3ft to occasionally 4ft at North, but with fresh SW winds in the wake of today's change. There's a very slim chance for an early W'ly, but the swell will be smaller at dawn.
Sunday looks much better with an easing swell from 2-3ft and NW winds most of the day ahead of a late W/SW change.
The swell will drop through the afternoon and Tuesday should see easing 2ft waves with morning offshores.
Next Tuesday onwards (Apr 22 onwards)
As touched on above, Monday's swell will ease Tuesday and there's a couple of small pulses due through the week ahead of a stronger increase in W/SW swell Thursday. This will be generated by another mid-latitude low firing up while pushing across us with winds expected to improve during the day as the swell fills in.
Check back here on Monday for more detail on this though.
