So I have just moved to Melbourne and have meet the South Westerly wind. Could someone give me at least the post code of a sheltered spot?

Western Port is probably your best option.

Ha ha.
Sorry, what did you expect - serious replies?
However, here's one.
There are a few well-known places around the Vic coast that are ok on a SW, but all of them don't pick up much swell - try Lorne and some of the big points down the West coast. Nothing past Cape Otway so don't bother. Westernport - everyone knows Pt Leo. There are a few other places around the coastline but I'm not going to tell you where. Get out the map, get on the road and go on a surfari. The results can be surprising and can be a blast finding a "new" spot, if you prepare for a lot of duds.
