Eastern Tasmania Forecast by Craig Brokensha (issued Monday 16th November)
Best Days: Friday morning, Sunday morning
Recap
Tiny waves continued across the East Coast Saturday and Sunday with similar surf seen into today.
This week and weekend (Dec 17 - 22)
The surf will remain tiny through the coming week until later Thursday and more so Friday when a small NE windswell makes its way down the coast.
This will be linked to a strengthening northerly ridge down the Southern NSW coast aiming a fetch of strong NE winds in our swell window.
A peak is expected on Friday to 1-2ft at north-east swell magnets with morning offshores.
A strong change Saturday will then bring with it a short-lived pulse of S/SE windswell, peaking into Saturday afternoon to 3ft or so across south facing beaches. Winds will be poor and fresh to strong from the S'th though.
The S/SE swell will fade overnight Saturday leaving fading 1-2ft waves through Sunday with morning NW winds.
Longer term (Dec 23 onwards)
There's nothing major on the cards longer term at this stage beside small levels of S'ly groundswell Tuesday next week. Check back here Wednesday for an update on this though.
