Eastern Tasmania Forecast by Craig Brokensha (issued Monday 6th January)
Best Days: Tuesday and Wednesday mornings in semi-protected spots, Thursday morning
Recap
The weekend remained tiny to flat with no real swell seen across the coast. Today has remained the same but there is some swell on the way.
This week (Jan 7-10)
South facing beaches should come in at 3-4ft or so with smaller 2ft waves at open beaches. Winds won't be favourable though and strong from the S/SW tending S/SE.
With the low moving off to the east tomorrow, a rapid drop in size is expected overnight with small levels of easing SE swell due Wednesday. Winds will remain less than ideal and from the S'th during the morning ahead of E'ly sea breezes.
Thursday morning looks fun still with a small 1-2ft of SE swell under a light NW breeze.
This weekend onwards (Jan 11 - 12)
There's nothing too major on the cards for this weekend and beyond until mid-late next week so try and make the most of the coming days of S-SE swell.
