Western Australia Surf Forecast by Craig Brokensha (issued Tuesday 7th December)
Best Days: Thursday morning, Friday morning, Saturday morning, Sunday morning
Recap
Friday's strong pulse of W/SW groundswell eased back through the weekend under workable winds across most regions. Yesterday the swell was smaller again but with better winds across all regions.
Today an onshore wind is blowing across the state as the swell remained small leaving no real options for a decent surf.
This week (Jan 8 – 10)
This swell build strongly tomorrow afternoon in the South West and later further north ahead of a peak early Thursday to 6-8ft around Margs, 2-3ft in Perth and 4-5ft around Gero.
Winds will be less then ideal tomorrow as the swell builds with Thursday morning offering good winds around Perth and Margs with stronger S/SE winds up at Gero.
A reinforcing SW groundswell pulse is expected on Friday morning steadying the easing trend and winds look to be better.
This weekend onwards (Jan 11 onwards)
A very slow drop in size is expected over the weekend across the state and winds look excellent each morning blowing offshore ahead of sea breezes.
Next week there's nothing major on the cards so make the most of the coming period of swell!
