Heavy Puerto caverns with pristine conditions and only open to the locals under COVID-19 restrictions. Some beautifully heavy waves and just as big smack downs.

Gosh you'd think at a head high beachbreak they'd at least try to get deep in the barrel?!

Ok, I will never again complain about having to duck dive under 4 foot "Beachie Bombs". Much thanks for sharing that gem.

It blows my mind just how brave / confident / foolhardy/ masochistic/ driven people can be when it comes to catching a wave.
Crazy stuff.

I echo Sangsta's comment....going to stop complaining about the paddle out when the local gets bigger....surely thats like a one wave session? Buggered if Id be trying to get back out again after a flogging and then a set on the head. Madness!

You’d have to be a real sicko to enjoy surfing Puerto at that size.
I surfed it up to maybe 8ft and got so freaken pumped.
And then having to deal with the 15 ft tube you’re in suddenly closeout, they are mad..

And then getting sucked back into the impact zone of the next 3 waves by a torrent of a rip.

Yeah not my idea of fun. See how fine that sand is on the beach, it must pack down like concrete.

Ha, I got sucked over the falls there and straight onto my knees then face first into the sand, split my nose and looked like someone had taken a sander to my forehead. Saw stars and was a floating body for a bit,
It was only 4ft,,,,,
Left a few in wheelchairs that sandbar

Have seen it that size no one out, everyone down the end on the left hander but have surfed up to 6ft thought at the time Pascuales was far heavier.
