Rip Curl's latest vid is a return to the longer format, taking a more fictional narative and channelling the success of Red Monkey, Full Moon. It features Morgan Cibilic hooking up with other Rippy team members while chasing waves up and down the coast. Mick Fanning, Tyler and Owen Wright star, among others shredding the East Coast during July.

If the aim was to build Morgs' profile/persona, that worked too.
Also, Owen always wearing the gath except for when he was in the water was classic.
Great classic Aussie rat bag surf clip. Makes mad wax look lame. The music really captures the free spirit and fun of the surfing lifestyle. Loved it. The surf shop scene was hilarious. Cheers.

As soon as I saw this pop up I sorta wanted to hate it. Don’t know why; maybe It was because I never liked the Original “search” series With the pico soundtrack! But glad I pulled the pin and pressed play! Best movie in a long time. Showcases everything that represents Australian surfing to me. On par with

Pretty sick. Next time Hollywood decides to attempt a surf movie again, i would really hope they give Vaughan Blakey a call. He has a knack of transferring the realism of the lifestyle and the energy and joy of riding waves to the screen.
Kudos to Ripcurl for returning to this format of surf flicks. Much preferred.

Perfect lazy Sunday arvo viewing, totally surfed out, sinking an ice cold frothy, living the dream.
A cross between endless summer, mad wax and the Castle, they should produce a TV series, it could be bigger than Hannah Montana. The networks would be paying RipCurl to flog their merch. Cheers.

That was so much fun to watch! Laughing with tears in my eyes!! Good to see no ego’s and just loving surfing. Doesn’t matter who you are it’s all about having fun!
As good as this was when it came out, it's even better now and would definitely recommend a rewatch. With the scalps of JJF, Ryan Callinan, and a semi final against Medina at pumping Merewether, this vid is almost prophetic. Again, well done Mr Blakey. The grom is full of confidence. It was a no brainer he'd beat John John at his home bowl....in hindsight!
