Yep....I'm calling bullshit on a 12 hour sesh.
Maybe a boat was moored off to the side where the priveleged few could sit it out in some shade for a while, have a feed/drink and put more sunscreen on.
Had a few 4-5 hour surfs in Indo when I was young & bulletproof and remember being completely fucked and dehydrated afterwards.
Maybe he had one of these:

Surfed Nias decades ago at half that size and copped an absolute drilling when straightened out ! That wave has a power well beyond anything I have experienced in OZ. Hats off to the chargers. Pull in or get drilled. An absolute cracking wave and so consistent.
