Earlier today, Italo Ferrieira dropped a clip - another one, the fella has been busy - and it's bound to cause deja vu in the older crew: the boatride at the start, the order of waves, the song...of course, the song, which is the key to the device.
Says Italo: "We decided to re-make one of my favorite Andy Irons' videos. I’m not trying to compare myself to him - never - he is my inspiration to get better and better.
"The movie is called CAMPAIGN. I watch it everyday before my sessions. In Andy’s part, we tried to edit it with the same music and same manoeuvers, but I’m goofy footer - hahaha.
"I hope you guys like it and also get as inspired as I did. Thanks to all of Andy’s family for letting me do it."

Stu's comment on Filepe not free surfing as well as his comp surfing, rang true to me especially with his J Bay comp wave, which he ripped to shreds. It made me think of Italo at the time, as his last clip was full of 10's free surfing, and now this latest one shows how unbelievably well he surfs. That's another level right there.

I wonder what would of happened to him if he didn't die? Would he of got back to the competitor he was or would he just be putting out mental free surf clips?

From a surfing perspective.......Andy Irons had it all. Close to as good a style as I've seen plus flair, aggression, guts, confidence and of course freakish ability.
AI tags those backhand wacks at the most critical spot all the time.
