Dunno how you could objectively judge best, different strokes etc, but it's surely right up there.
Just the shear speed he's generating blew me away, let alone the explosiveness and rail work. It's as if he's doing step offs.

The Hawaiian power at 4-6 foot really helps JJF here in comparison, but its still got to be Dane by some margin. - Sorry to tag you twice with this Dane rebuttal/worship, but since you're here, he'll probably have a hand in developing the vaccine too ( not as one of the main guys, that's unrealistic, but in an administrative capacity, mos def)

Ry rips harder than I would in ten lifetimes of trying but he isn’t in the same conversation as JJF.
And despite Marzo’s nearly unparalleled tube riding , wave intuition and inimitable approach he doesn’t remotely compare to the rail work displayed by JJF .
Each to their own . But personally, whilst I’ve been left slack jawed by Marzo’s skill many times I’ve never been inspired to surf like I was when I watched this clip of John John.

After a Marzo/Craike fest, I watched JJF. I can see what he's adding to his surfing. Vintage, matured, extra sharp Marzo/Craike.
These two of Marzo, first next level surfing on some rocks, next levelling some shitty stuff, and then taking that attitude to the grunt. Then, in the next vid, absolutely gutless US crud, making that crud something (the something that's obviously got into JJF's head), out of absolutely nothing. But, just add a little bit, a tiny sceric of juice to that slop, and sparks fly. They, the big guns, all noticed him, they had to, they couldn't just use the old look away and miss it, and because, as they said, untouchable next level. Its inside JJf's head too.
Again, years ago. Craike takes to some sludge. His grunt surfing is without question. Just hook inside him and start absolutley carving if you want to. But this vid is crappy sludge. Around the 1.09 min. Slow it down for another look as well. Quarter speed. The back foot boogie man, a real one, rare these days. You can't miss it. Again, making something out of a crumbling crud heap, a coiled, sunset bottom turn, and then lets it all loose. Spray lands in JJF's head. Then the last segment. Look and learn. Looks a hell of a lot like JJF is these days.
