Watch: Russell // A Brief Introduction

Does anyone need an intro to Russ Bierke? Who he is, where he's from, and most importantly, what he's capable of.

Well, for those who are new to the scene here's a short clip about the young fella, and for those who already know there's plenty of visuals to feast on. No point singling out any one wave as a highlight as they're all worthy.

The chap can go a big one. I guess he has tried his wares and the high profile big wave spots such as chopes and jaws as he seems to have no fear and the skills to handle it. Loves a slab that's for sure.

I think that's the first time I've seen him do a cutback.

Ive got so much time for Russ! Charger, incredible skill and reflexes, and down to earth nice guy as well. So great to have him representing australia on the big wave front.

That was nicely done.

Surprises me the fella can get his balls into a wetsuit. That video player was quite bad

Riding foamballs, over shockys, spat out over razor sharp reef with tons of water propelling him Mach 10. Fucken gnarly.

He must do a lot of yoga.

Great short flick. Non assuming charger. Loved that wipeouts were included too, makes us mere mortals feel better and shows the level of commitment required to rise to become a surfing prodigy.

Bloke obviously has very elite talent. Would be interesting if he had've gone down a more conventional competition pathway if he would've been a CT surfer. Could be scary good.

The lack of comments on this subject pretty much sums things up. The guy's surfing speaks for itself. There's pretty much nobody doing what he can do. He's on another level.
