Much prefer him as a goofy. It seems to smooth out his style even more. Not sure how this is possible considering it’s the exact same surfing? It just resonates better. Harmonises with how I relate to surfing.

Funnily enough, I’ve been binging on reverse clips of naturals as goofies lately. There’s an epic one of Ethan Ewing kicking around. Pure goofy porn.

Pretty incredible. He draws lines on big open faces that no-one else can, or can see. And those delayed bottom turns and how much zip he gets out of them …

So was that him riding goofy, or just a camera replay trick. I’m also confused.

I’ve actually wondered if it would make the WSL more interesting if competitors (athletes?) had to ride switch for at least one scoring wave per heat. 3 best waves, one switch. Would love to see that in a format. Anyone know if there’s many of the pros that can stick the other foot forward and still rip?

Skaters and snowboarders have to be able to ride out of tricks fakie and launch into their next stage of the run. I find that snowboarding switch for a few runs at the start of the day improves my overall riding.

Seen Kelly do it a few times. Can't think of any others though.

Typical goofy. Only sees the lefts. That was insane. Was fun trying to work out where the waves were in reverse. Definitely the best style we've seen in this generation, and i wonder how Italo and Gabes the goofys felt after watching this. Might be time for some self reflection (literally in front of the mirror).

Serious hack!! Re. Margieson,yes,not surprised, Judging by his style I'd always thought he was a big guy,around 6'3" or 4" but Google puts him at6foot. Styles can be like personalities I guess,some are just Larger than Life
