Yeah. I have to agree with you there mate. Been a lot of this all over Oz. Used to head down to a wave in bruny in the 90’s never see crowds, now you go there in summer and there are heaps of unexpecteds.
Car park regularly overspills for a hundred meters either direction down the road by sunrise on 0 degree days. The days of cold weather meaning fewer surfers are well and truly over down here.
His old man lives down there so he isn't just a drop in. Know that spot, every time I check it on the motorbike when I am down there it is flat so don't rush to find the location.
Have a place up Bicheno way - this must be further south I'm guessing ?
Dion is from Tassie. Moved to the Gold Coast in his mid-teens, think when his old boy Mario took over Surfing Australia, and he moved back a few years ago.
Nice bloke apparently one of chaps from this coast has a place just up the road from the old fella and said he is good for a yak.
I bet he likes his coffee STRONG.
The only thing bad about a strong coffee before a surf is it makes you need to take a dump.

Yeah overexposed and grainy I don't get it either. Probably a new filter to play with on the software he is using.
