Perfect timing, loved it.
The elusive art of whimsy meets grave concern.
Nice.
Really...Think about it..? How much jet fuel and other stuff was used and consumed to make this self indulgent BS, how much energy did I use just watching it..This is just lip service to the real issues. Why didn't you get real proactive, get a bunch of your enviro friends to clean up the beach while you were there. This serves no purpose but to make the film maker supposedly feel good.
Cool and thought provoking little film.
Perhaps he felt that the level of added awareness regarding the planet's health due to sharing this film would more than offset any energy he used in it's production.
Roondog..you are so right..! now we expected to believe commercialism dressed up as environmentalism, Now ! Are we expected to digest this hypocritical outlook...Consume consume consume..! ...! its all good for the planet.
Powerful
I thought that ball would have popped long ago.
(metaphorically speaking)
Good on you Andrew.
Powerful and effective.
I'm moved.
Thanks
seriously, there is some absolute vomit going on here - FFS get your boards glassed to last, plant native plants and pick up some rubbish.
This over indulgent crap is more wankfest at its finest. The pro surfers involved in alot of this eco awakening mantra need to take a look at the foot print that they create, with the throw away boards, tail pads and the rest of the sponsorship gobble.
Coattails
Thx Ank
There's a version of the jetty play done on Rottnest, except it involves a bike.
C'mon Shorebreak at least the guy is working for good and not working for selfishness and greed. You can also say what you said about Midnight Oil, JBT, and every other Greenie / alt band or team that is at lest trying to make a difference rather than trying to make money like the MSM and their bimbo journalists. I don't agree with everything Kidman presented like the BS about gentle little cool fires burning the Aussie bush -that is propaganda at it's finest as anyone who has lived out there for year knows, but at least he is encouraging people and especially kids to think about what they are doing to the world.
Good read here with Ank in Q&A with the Wilderness Society about the film 'Earth Ball'.
