Watch: Enter The Cramaverse

(Tom Pearsall)
Reels

Around the same time the flame haired (possible android) Mark Zuckerberg hit launch on the Metaverse, our fuzzy haired protagonist (and bona fide human) Beau Cram escaped the grips of COVID-19, stepped on the gas of his large, rectangular shaped metal land-vehicle and... simply disappeared.

At present Beau sips from a cylindrical tin filled with a fizzy feel-good liquid admiring mystified water hanging high in the atmosphere catching the ever-changing colours of a setting gas giant. He’s there, deep within a universe crammed full of positivity and gratitude for those he’d met and would soon meet, for the array of experiences once dreamt and now lived. All is good. In The Cramaverse.

What transpired before this current moment took place over roughly 1 sidereal year. The Earth travelled 940 million km around the sun at 30 kilometres a second. Beau travelled some 7,000km at 0.02 kilometres a second. Word filtered out from where he had been. Whispers of a journey spanning a seemingly endless straight road, littered with the corpses of an animal with springs for legs; under towering forests inhabited by ancient white skinned trees and over bone rattling ancient plains of red dirt. Before, finally, into an aquatic playground brimming with mythical reefs and myriad creatures. No one was sure of the rumours... till now.

Very inspiring. Some of those high lines were nuts.

Got to say Tom Pearsall has balls of steel doing water camera there, though......

In a world world full of 0’s and zeros trim that hair and you’ll be traveling even faster than the universe and no itchy head scratches along the way …
Absolutely schrallping …loved it

That last righthander. Dream wave. (Guessing if you were to pan right, it would be easy to identify.)

Great surfing all around.

Epic!

mikehunt207 Thursday, 31 Mar 2022 at 10:45 am new

Doesnt mind posing it up for the camera does he ? blue steel all the way. Good surfer and seemingly nice guy but the classic running over the bush rather than sticking to the track like every other east coaster new to the desert ( the scrub may look dead but its not, just dormant and very fragile) add to that to the exposure of other peoples lesser known surf spots ( not talking NW footage) . Selling the "vagabond felt hat lifestyle" for the instagram points and worse still encouraging more rich kids from sydney to get Dad to buy them a van, and move to a beach carpark near you. Dozens of them here at the moment . Being clueless is no excuse and saying " Its our work" is even worse.
Nice job guys, wonder why its so crowded?

geebee Thursday, 31 Mar 2022 at 11:27 am new

Aye. Couldn't agree more Mike. He came, he saw, he exploited. Ably assisted by one of the resident point and shoot experts just doing his best to make an honest living.
Yeah, yeah, it's been crowded over here for a fair while... but the last couple of years? Bejeezus!!

Ash Thursday, 31 Mar 2022 at 12:11 pm new

Mike love the line "vagabond felt hat lifestyle"
Dunno about much else in regard to his trip but those macking lefts were truly impressive, there's not a lot of room for error in waves like that.

radiationrules Thursday, 31 Mar 2022 at 12:35 pm new

I feel the need to chime in....everyone's entitled to ...share waves..been crazy crowded last two winters up there...please give back as much as you take..nice film BTW

Is it a good earn?
Selling surf spots that is.
Is it really worth it in the long term?

roondog Saturday, 2 Apr 2022 at 08:58 am new

good solid surfing. rich kids from sydney in felt hats / enough homebrewed imposters to take the title.

The race to put in the final nail is over before the season has even begun. Congrats Tom all that hard work you have put in blowing out the north over the last couple of years has finally paid off. Enjoy the money and the ego boost.

goofyfoot Saturday, 2 Apr 2022 at 07:43 pm new

Blowing out the north? You talking about nw wa yeah?

Fuck bit late for that isn’t it? Every year there would have to be 10’s (100’s?) of clips coming from there.
Last year was the busiest year on record I heard.
Poor form I reckon to be sinking the boots in to this guy for it when it’s almost become a stock standard destination. This bloke would of had sweet f-a to do with it.

Taj, craike, brown bro’s, jack robbo, manners, creed, Wilcox….. all those guys have promoted it for years

mikehunt207 Sunday, 3 Apr 2022 at 04:22 pm new

The NW is long gone, the first generation of local born guys did a good job of that (after their Dads were total localised cunts for years) but blowing out more fragile spots in SA as well as that beachy , wankers , dogs in national parks, harassing endangered osprey , exploitation of others surf all in the name of art ....

Both of you might find less welcomes from now on I,d guess

Tracksmag did couple of pages Article on it in 1979...

Surfalot67 Sunday, 3 Apr 2022 at 01:36 pm new

Well that apple didn't fall far from the tree. His old man was one of my fav surfers in the 80's, insane forehand cutties, "The Performers" 1984. This young fella shreds hard, that backlit beauty at 5.02 was sublime. Any of the peanut gallery here wanna throw out the old "twins don't work on your backhand" chestnut again? Haha!

udo Sunday, 3 Apr 2022 at 01:43 pm new

He he have been waiting for Twins on the Backhand to be mentioned .

SurferSam Sunday, 3 Apr 2022 at 04:18 pm new

Loved the grunters section , such a fun wave when it’s that size

Jamyardy Thursday, 7 Apr 2022 at 06:47 pm new

I was out at one of those waves when he was out there. Total frother, but surfed alright. I had to ask someone who he was ... Richard Crams kid was the response. Seemed to be OK to talk to in the water though. And that left, had some good sessions out there.

t-diddy Tuesday, 12 Apr 2022 at 12:26 am new

surely the tombies section should've come last

Jamyardy Tuesday, 12 Apr 2022 at 09:50 pm new

If he had of surfed it in that edit, then maybe they would have.

groundswell Tuesday, 12 Apr 2022 at 06:10 pm new

Great surfing on fish, especially backhand, full throttle!
However the standing up on a bodyboard was a bit silly imo...bodyboards are like luges you wouldn't stand up on a luge going around a wrapping bowl..just like you wouldnt standup on a luge in racing wrapping barrels.
Even dropknee/jackstance is debatable vs standing up imo.

Also the editing at the start was a little annoying seemed like it had ADHD. However the editing towards the end was epic.
