She is absolutely ripping, but I feel she is under-surfing her true abilities.
Way too much safety surfing in her turns. You never really see her push all the way through her backhand turns properly. Tatiana Weston-Web on her backhand is way more brutal and critical as she pushes all the way through the turn.
I think Caroline's forehand is way more impressive and has quickly surpassed her backhand, although, it's still missing some extra energy in the later half of turns.
Also as another person mentioned, lack of variety in her turns also appears to show up.
It's one thing to hit the lip in surfing, but it's another level to drive all the way through and out of it.
Jeebers, how old is the girl... Give her a bit of time. For mine she's absolutely ripping and has already ironed out a lot of her style kinks in the short time we've seen her on the world stage.
Tatiana is hacking powerful turns now but in the early stages of her career I couldn't stand her style.
If Caz keeps progressing at this rate she'll be hard to beat. Bravo to her coaches, hopefully she can keep her head tight because that'll be the true test of her success. Dominating the tour is about a lot more than raw surfing talent.

Yes, I agree, [and stated as such] that she is absolutely ripping. No question of that. My question was How much more COULD she be ripping? Others raised valid points for improvement and that's all I was doing. Yes, us arm chair judges are pretty harsh at times but that drives these performers to try harder.
I also know she is young with lots of improvements yet to come, and I really look forward to watching her progress.

She is a competition surfer so everything was said within that context.
Competition surfing tends to dumb-down the potential of most surfers IMHO, so I'm not pointing the finger specifically in her direction. Callum Robson is high on that list. The video's I've seen of his surfing Pre-Tour, was so much more dynamic and risky.
You need to complete your waves to win heats, so surfing at 70-80% often means you make more heats.

I just wish I could get waves consistently this good in my back yard. Shit they look fun.
Great low long driving bottom turns which setup everything else on the wave. That's why here backhand is so strong. Better than a lot of guys.
Surfs a million times better than I do but I wish she would just hold that bottom turn a tiny bit longer on her fore hand and go more straight up.

I am not an social media participant, but I am guessing there are a lot more videos out there than the current percentage that gets posted here?
