I was fortunate enough to to witness Natxo and his mate Kepa get completely schooled in tube riding by a rag tag bunch of feral core lords in remote indo a few years back.
Anyone with a shred of dignity would’ve gone home, peeled the red bull stickers off their board and signed up to a plumbing apprenticeship.
They certainly come out of the woodwork in Indo. Just got back from bali and got a great session with Koby Abberton and friends at a great right hander, and barrels were the order of the day, needless to say I was picking the slops but even they weren't bad. A lot of good surfers are out there.
Why would you do a plumbing apprenticeship as a pose to being paid to surf epic waves all around the globe?

Saw a bit of the Mundaka cam last night. Probably the best i've ever seen that place (on video). Looked 8foot plus and just draining mechanically down the bank. Hoping to see some vids come out of it. Looked like one of the wonders of the world. Amazing.
