It’s one of the funnest waves ever. Rocks on inside a bit tricky but nothing too hectic. I preferred the right to the left.
Just like any north shore wave can pack some punch when a little bigger - most mortals can surf there

Seems this was finals day at Sunset? JJ looks just fine. Short sharp barrels to warm up for Peniche.

Must have been.
Swell hasn't been much more than head-high since then (mostly much smaller).
That said rockies was overperforming vs pretty much everywhere else.

Before noticing the title and name of the spot, thought this spot was a friendlier day than normal at backdoor/pipe but then quickly looked down. Looks fun and maybe not as hell breaking at a size like this as most north shore spots.
Still, i will probably never go to Hawaii, even if was 21-28 year old again with a lot of dough, most Hawaiian waves are excellent and true rock and roll but peru points and indo and all those kinds of waves my kind of style..

Apparently this is the go to as far as i know for photogs to earn some cash on small days.
