Jaw dropping. In a world saturated with content, the hat getting blown off at around 11.45 is truly remarkable!
The wide shots, at full speed, are awesome. Matahi Drollett’s tow at 9.14 to start proceedings is a blinder, so deep, so critical.

Good to watch leisurely on a bigger screen. Some beautiful images. The lead up travel shots and anticipation of a chasing and facing a code red swell could have been annoying but for a potentially massive swell sets the scene well.
The quieter back story that slips in where a guy mentions about maybe 200 surfers there to try to get some glory is a sign of the times.
Nate Florence in another video said he caught two waves and then gave up due to the circus in the line up. A long way to go to get two medium sized Chopes waves....
Hopefully for the locals there are some sneaky big days scattered through the year without the hype to get some peace in the lineup.
yeah I watched the other video good to see even the pros get affected by the circus...

Lol... cameras on sticks cameras in mouths cameras on helmets no doubt drones buzzing around... Tims narcissism and usual overdrama muzak... yeah nah. Still nice waves tho but the paddle crew must be a bit pissed
totally - although many of those waves you couldn't paddle :) As for Tim, enough said.
