Watch: Repeater // A Quiksilver Film
Following on from last year's 'Saturn', comes 'Repeater' and, as the name implies, it's more of the same. The Quik team - including new signing Griffin Cola - go on a global tear, surfing to music from big brother's music collection: Ween, Napalm Death, The Jesus Lizard etc etc.
Also, for those following the recent design discussions on Swellnet, Mikey Wright spends half the vid riding various Burch-shaped asymms. Goes alright on 'em too.

Geezus you’d have to be keen to surf a river mouth in Reunion.
Worth it though.
The internet is changing our brains every time we use it - making us into mindless slobs with the attention span of a sponge (the invertebrate) but this film with it's 30+ min runtime, non-surf interludes (well handled crazy machete guy) and credits claws back at that just a tiny bit.
So this is the best movie that one of the top surf-brands can muster? What a sad state of affairs.
Music made me want to sit in a corner and cry. What's with all the depressing music these days?
I loved the music, didn't find it depressing at all. Each to their own I guess.
Anyone else watch the opening handful of waves and wonder when we were going to see somebody do a turn?

Mikey really a cut above, it seems as though he’s smoothed out his surfing somewhat. Likely one of the world’s best chargers and surfers in general.
Apart from Mikey, Kael and Griff, it surprises me Quik pay the other crew to surf? They are good surfers but sponsored? Good on ‘em I suppose.
I enjoyed that on the tv screen.
Al Cleland Jr is one of the best barrel riders in the world, I reckon.
And while Mikey charges, I think he's miles behind Griff and Kael. But he's better (less jerky) than when he was on tour.
I did forget Al, he’s elite.
Why do you think Griff / Kael are miles ahead? I bet they would not say so in any given line up they shared.

Was off it at the start with 13 airs in a row, but turned out to be a great teaser to what was to follow.
Mikey Wright's surfing has gone up a level or two. Looking super fast, loose and smooth.
Mullughmore can get farked. As if that's even a wave. Nuts!! Hats off to the brave soldiers taking that thing on.
