Coming in hotter than expected, Friday's swell provided Hawaii with the largest swell since January. Mark Healey dusted cobwebs at a favourite frontside reef.

Do these outer reef spots like Himalayas, Avalanches, etc. wash through to the shore, or do you end up in deep water eventually?

Himalayas washes all the way through. Avalanche backs off, so does Outside Logs though I think it sometimes rolls on through.
