The summer swell season has finally kicked into gear across the Gold Coast this past week. Here's some tasty drone footage from Snapper Rocks last Friday.

Wasn't forbidden to fly drones in the area?
Thanks

As much an amazing wave as a circus. Truly incredible. Excellent footage.

Bet old mate had no permit to drone shoot at Snapper, but it looks so fun though. I've been thinking since the last post on Snapper and all the whingers complaining about the crowd - it's not what you think. That crowd at Bells/Winki would be utterly insane when there's a 6-wave set every 20 minutes. At pumping Snapper though, that's not how it works. You'll notice the shreddas going the behind the rock section rarely make it past Mali too. Pick your time and take off zone and you'll still score. For the sooks though, that's cool, don't come :)

Ok, I'll just stay in my little corner of Vic and sook about the head high hollow sandbank I surfed this morning with 2 mates and we'll have it again on this arvos high tide. Enjoy the joy.

Ha ha, Where are the hollow waves in VIC??
Definitely more consistant down there, before this it was flat for over a month here.

Victoria's coastline is longer than the two hour drive from Melbourne and holds her secrets well.

beautiful footage & good waves. Good luck & stamina trying to catch a nice one.
A 3 second barrel can be found on some EC beach breaks atm, without all the weaving, loosing momentum & the ride...

Looked busy but fun and relatively well behaved out there. Way fewer drop-in’s than usually seen on similar clips. Mind you, the burn at 1.57 was sheer shitfuckery.
