Thanks for putting together your video. Something Ive always wanted to do, highlights of great surfers & never got round to.
Many moons ago, I surfed long point waves with a calm soul.
We talked a long while, waiting for the set waves to roll in around the headland.
I caught a wave, he caught the next.
His prosthetic leg came off, washed & then floated in towards the shore.
As he paddled in to pick up his other leg, a small pod of dophins surounded him.
It was a moment in time, I will never forget. Hadnt seen that happen before or since.
We were somewhere near Grafton...
He told me he had been hitchhiking & woke up in a hospital, with one of his legs gone.
