Watch: John John skips Pipe for Snapper

The last two days at Pipeline have been pegged as some of the most exciting in pro surf history. But where was John John during all the commotion? Of course he pulled out due to injury - "I don't have full trust in my movements." - yet he gave no special guest commentary nor was he spied beachside incognito. John John, as it happened, was in Australia warming up and testing boards with Pyzel Oz licensee Matt Aldridge.

There's been the occasional rumour that JJF is jack of the tour, that he's moving on, but this footage, shot two days ago, puts a muzzle on that story.

Do you know what really sucks about this clip ? The fact that JJ can make such shit conditions and waves look fun. I'd get excited paddle and manage absolutely zip in those waves. Bastard is beyond good - he's good good for sure.

John John lets his surfing do his talking which is a blessing in disguise because
he cant talk and doing guest commentary would of been simply embarrassing .
