blindboy Friday, 22 Mar 2019 at 04:55 pm

Well you can extinguish your preferences so neither will get your vote. Daley is appalling, very hard to vote Labor after his blatant hypocrisy.

AndyM Friday, 22 Mar 2019 at 05:04 pm

Why would you knowingly extinguish your vote?

AndyM Friday, 22 Mar 2019 at 05:06 pm

"Under the NSW system of optional preferential voting, the voter only needs to number one square.
The political impact of NSW's voting system shows up when the votes are counted.
Ballot papers that quite literally run out of numbers during the distribution of preferences "exhaust" further preferences.
They are then removed from the count."

blindboy Friday, 22 Mar 2019 at 05:09 pm

..... out of disgust at the performance of both major parties Andy!

AndyM Friday, 22 Mar 2019 at 05:16 pm

Understood, but it'd be a shame to potentially cut off your nose to spite your face, as dear old Gran used to say.

If everyone filled in one square in my electorate and exhausted their vote early in the piece, the Nats would get in, and we don't want that.

what booth are you at Andy?

Westofthelake Friday, 22 Mar 2019 at 07:31 pm

In my electorate we have had an NSW Independent representative for years now. Surrounded by areas that have voted Labour for 100 years, a decade or more ago this area faced disillusionment towards both major parties which meant people were more inclined to 'tell em to fuck off' in the most civilised way possible. By voting. We had a real authentic choice and a desire f or change.
In this day and age an Independent candidate CAN win. The public (non Terrorgraph readers) do have the ability to discern who they would like to have to represent them.
So even though we had our own 'member' his ability to have any real influence has been limited. More of a lobbiest at the front line than a deciding vote on legislation. If a hung parliament emerges from tomorrow things will be different. Which is great for old mate as he will get re-elected.
I usually have an easy decision to make. However in light of recent information and with some further research I have made the decision to place the local Sustainable Australia no.1 and old mate no. 2.
Lets just say that for me they ticked a lot of boxes.
Needless to say I will putting the 'Libs Last.', no actually, dead fucking last

Whilst I do believe whole heartedly in the 'Independents' I also strongly believe that quicker change can be made by 'groups', or is the politico term 'blocs'?

Nows the time
Each to their own
Time will tell.
Again.

Whoya gunna vote for? See the choices in your electorate.
https://candidates.elections.nsw.gov.au

(Dont be a donkey, your vote is pricey.
Every first preference vote above 4%? is reimbursed to the party/candidate at the rate of $4 - $4,50 per vote)

Nations coming to realise the economic gains presented by offshoring their manufacturing and technological industries are hollow and false when the macroeconomic situation is assessed and that the whole concept is counterproductive to the best interests of their countries .

News Corp is headlining a minority government for the LNP.
At the same time over at Laboe HQ, ALP sources are quietly confident of forming minority government.

So who's it going to be, Murdoch or the People?

Tiime will tell.
This could take a while.

Westofthelake Saturday, 23 Mar 2019 at 07:05 pm

Haha just watched John Barilaro for NSW Nats who Ive seen starring in a tv ad at least 20 times refers to Labor, the Greens, and SFF as being the 'Coalition of the willing'.

Westofthelake Saturday, 23 Mar 2019 at 08:29 pm

820pm Antony Green has called the Coalition.
Perhaps it is appropriate that they are the ones in government over the next 4 years time as we see what happens when the money runs out because there's nothing left to sell, and stamp duty income reachs all time lows.

blindboy Saturday, 23 Mar 2019 at 09:54 pm

Well it doesn't tell us anything as it has not been made public. What we do know is that he has already indicted significant figures from the Trump campaign and administration as well as laying charges against numerous Russian agents. His final conclusions will be interesting and it is very possible that there is no evidence linking Trump to their actions. Regardless of that, Trump, his family and associates are under investigation in numerous states for a wide variety of potential crimes. He is a long, long way from being in the clear.

sypkan Saturday, 23 Mar 2019 at 10:03 pm
