Triple Stringers

Anyone have experience riding them? I snapped one of my bigger boards that was supposed to be one of those "I'll have this forever" kind of thing, and was about to put in the call to get a new one and I'm toying with the idea of a tripe stringer. I have always figured the point of them is that they are stronger, but there might be something I'm missing!

I had a 7’ triple stringer gun pin tail many. Years ago (1980 ish)
Keel fin twin too.
Had been riding Steve lis inspired boards since early 70’s.
Board had weight and extra glide but little torque flex -not an issue tho , actually a bonus off the bottom.
Keel fins have always been under rated in oz in good waves but are now getting a run .

Heart breaking --- looks to be an 8'0 plus ---Had it been a Triple stringer blank likely to still be intact....Bound to create a weak spot removing large amount of Stringer to Fit a Single Fin box

Agree with the premise of creating a weak spot before the finbox, but wondering how a triple stringer would go on a six channel. Reckon it could be done, but also reckon it'd be a lot more work.

Or a Double Stringer - Strength retained either side of the Finbox
