Oh man! Wow, that's so so heavy. And I think those people are just passed out frozen, crazy how they're all hunched over eh. Zombie apocalypse there it is. So lucky to grow up and live here in Australia!
That's pretty crazy, interesting how it's 90%+ white trash too, hardly any black people are fucked up.
Also notice just the amount of litter on the ground, makes a developing country look clean.

Ive seen recent videos of how bad the homeless is too, just tents and shanty towns on the sidewalk all over the place in some areas i think LA but even by the beach (will try to dig a vid up)
Lets not even start talking about the violence and unrest groups like Antifa cause, saw a video the other day showing how many of Portland's public buildings even police headquarters are still boarded up with plywood because the windows keep getting smashed out.

Ive traveled most of Oz and never see anything like that you wont see anything like that in city area's during the day even in dodgy areas, probably the closest ive see is id hate to say it but Aboriginal people drinking in large groups generally in parks or near pubs/bottle shops mostly in larger regional towns.
Visual homelessness you can see in city area's at times was quite a few tents at one stage around some bridges in Melb (not sure about now) and you see the odd homeless people but nothing like these videos.
I’ve seen that stuff many, many times. Halls Creek. Fitzroy Crossing. Hedland. Broome. Kununurra etc etc.
Yep, a night at Fitzroy Crossing is something to remember. Will never forget the constant wail.

Living with yourself starring Paul Rudd ( Netflix) is worth watching. 10 half hour episodes. I don’t mind Paul Rudd’s character type of the affable Everyman and he plays this strengths in this unique and interesting tale.

Finished season seven last night, was stoked on the winner as was my fav from day one, the runners up were pretty good though.
Gee's it got hardcore toward's the end with that degree of cold, the thing that really spins me out is how animals like rabbits/hare's still survive in those conditions.
it's mad how hard-core they all are.
I whinge when I have to spend a few hours cutting up a jewie in car-port late at night.

I’m a few episodes into Morning Wars and loving it. I wasn’t that sold on the premise but it’s far exceeded any expectations I had. The writing is really good. Self aware, cutting and clever. The show is smart enough to give the topics it builds off of a nice heaping of nuance.
It’s a bit like a morning TV version of Game of Thrones if you’ll forgive me the most tortured comparison ever. The plot moves quickly and characters jostle for supremacy. Fortunes can change in an instant.
It’s just a show so don’t expect sizzling fireworks shooting out of Reese Witherspoon’s hoo-hoo but I’d recommend a viewing no problems.

Catch-22 on Stan is seriously good. The book was a classic and this series really does it justice. Great cast, (George Clooney, Hugh Laurie etc) script by Luke Davies (author of Candy). A fine selection of period music. Hint: It's been around for a while so you will have to search for it........AND...I think you can still get a free 30 day trial!

Started watching "Animal kingdom" this week on Net flix, it's not too bad (so far), name is misleading, it more about a group of surfers/criminals that live a life of crime and parting.
Some of the surfing aspects are a little cringe in "north shore" "point break" type of way, but not as bad,
Maybe its coincidence or maybe they have taken inspiration for some of the characters on bra boys, one has a Koby look and another a Sunny look.

A good companion piece is the documentary 'Black Panthers' on SBS On Demand which uses great primary source interviews to dive into all the contradictions of The Panthers.
Someone in America needs to pick up where Fred Hampton left off, and with Sirhan Sirhan looking like he might get parole, when I watch stuff from this remarkable period, I always wonder what if...
'Selma' is another excellent Civil Rights era flick. I knew absolutely nothing about this particular event, so for me it was the perfect fact based movie, engrossing, instructive and uplifting. My lack of knowledge also made this movie the one that's come the closest to shocking me into a heart attack!
Yeh I watched that Roker. Really interesting. I think.there was another one which was a bio of MalcolmX. There are so many fascinating stories from that era. One thing that is not widely known is that the 1964 civil rights act would not have been passed without the assassination of JFK. He has proposed it before he died and LBJ used the emotions around his death to force it through knowing the Republicans could not be seen to oppose it.

Les Revenants (The Returned) is a slow burn zombie series from France. Genuinely creepy, stunning and eerie cinematography, and excellent performances. Lots of grieving around, but it’s a theme that’s beautifully explored, never mawkish.
Dead people return to life and come back to their village that rests on the banks of a big dam/hydro electric scheme, in the French Alps. The dam level starts inexplicably declining, relics from the flooded old village start appearing, and the lake starts coughing up dead animals.
The period just prior to the flooding of the valley is often referred to, so one naturally wonders if this manipulation of nature has provoked the unnatural resurrections.
Like a lot of these series that deal with the supernatural, the dénouement is somewhat vague and elusive, but it’s a great ride getting there.
