Clive Palmer has defended the barrage of advertisements from his Trumpet of Patriots party, saying they were designed to “stimulate debate”.
“I think we’ve put forward a lot of issues through advertising that should be addressed by the political class in general,” Palmer said on Channel Seven.
Asked about the unsolicited texts sent to millions of Australians, Palmer blamed the major parties.
“It’s the Liberal and Labor Party that made it legal to do it,” he said.
- I think the only debate his texts have stimulated is how we can change the SPAM laws to include political campaigning and our data being given out to candidates.
I'm calling for a class action on those bloody Trumpet texts. Couldn't opt out!!
