Had an interesting convo with a koori guy over Xmas, he said in his culture there are "clever people" (spirits) who understand time and space as waves that open and shut, and they step in and out of the gaps between time and space IE: they can come and go. This guy was fully initiated and heavily clued in to his heritage.
